My revelation here was that even though Ember, being the confident and athletic dog that she is, could rise to the occasion of Jazzy’s rough wrestle type of play, she didn’t really want to ALL THE TIME. It was too much. Now that I’ve curbed it on our walks, I have noticed that Ember is more willing to play with Jazzy at home. And sometimes, though not often, initiates it out on walks now. Now that Ember has a choice in that type and level of play, everyone is a bit more peaceful. Amazing what your dogs can teach you if you are willing to open your eyes!
Have your dogs opened your eyes on anything cool? Would love to hear your story and/or insights!
